Dewtail climbed the rest of the way up to the mouth of the tunnel leading to the moonstone. She shook out her pelt and then turned to look back the way she had come. She scanned the land below, searching for the other medicine cats. There was no sign of them, so she sat down, curled her tail around her paws and waited.

Tabs sighed as he made his way up to Mothermouth. Sheesh, but he felt like he hadn't slept in moons... odd considering that he'd been sleeping for almost the entire day so far.
Well, whatever. It wasn't a big deal, especially since this wasn't an every day event.
Ears perked up and eyes brightened when seeing Dewtail already present. Tabs smiled, arcing his tail and picking up the pace so he could sit and wait with her.
"Evening, Dewtail!" he meowed happily. Then again, he was always happy to see a pretty face. "How goes everything in ThunderClan?"

Dewtail smiled at Tabs. "Hello, Tabs!" She scooted over a bit so the tom could sit next to her. "Thunderclan is doing well, nothing more than a cold no and then. How's Riverclan? You look a little tired."

"Only because I sleep so much," the tabby cat grinned--quite cheekily, in fact, as he curled his tail around his paws. "RiverClan is just fine, though. Guess what!"
A bit of a purr swelled in his chest. "You would never believe who's turned over a new leaf recently. You know my Clanmate Strayheart, yes?"

As if it was the biggest secret in the world, Tabs puffed out his chest with an awful grin.
"He's got friends, Dewtail!" he purred. "He's still grumpy, but not nearly as much as he was. It's amazing!"

Dewtail thought back to Gatherings when she had seen the tom. He had been a bit of an outcast even amongst his own clanmates, always sitting alone and with a particularly grumpy look on his face. Dewtail purred. "That's wonderful. Do you know what changed?"

"I don't," the medicine cat shrugged. "I haven't been to talk with him. But he seems... happier, I think, so I don't want to bother him and potentially ruin it. You know?"
