Appearance: Lanky build, long legs and tail, but very strong; Sharp amber eyes, a mix of different gray-shades and brown pelt
Personality: One of, if not the only, most respected cat of ShadowClan. He never holds a grudge against another for any crime, and always keeps a level head. He can run relatively fast, and almost always goes out of his way to make sure each and every one of his Clanmates is settled and happy before he takes care of himself.
Biography: He is known as the "Whirlwind Hunter", due to an undisputed, unanimous agreement in the Clan that he is the best hunter of ShadowClan.
Since his kithood, Howlstar was close friends with a she-cat who grew up with him, named Smallflower. She and Howlstar (Howlchaser at the time) were inseparable, and once the both of them were of age, they became mates. But one foul leaf-bare, Smallflower, pregnant with Howlstar's kits, fell ill with greencough. She didn't survive, and neither did the kits. Howlstar became impossibly depressed for a time following, but eventually regained hold of himself. Now, he tries not to think back on such horrid times, although it is obvious when he does; he tends to look up toward Silverpelt more often than usual when thinking of Smallflower.
